The Company’s Board of Directors appoints the members of the Management Team.
The Management Team is chaired by the Chief Executive Officer and comprises other senior management personnels appointed by the Board. The team meets regularly to address matters concerning the entire Group. It assists the CEO in the implementation of Company’s corporate strategy and in operational management. The Management Team is responsible for managing the Company’s core business operations as a whole, which requires planning of various safety and development processes, policies and procedures, as well as monitoring the financial matters and business plans. Currently Brooge Energy’s Corporate Executive Committee consists of the CEO, CFO, CMO and CSO. The Management team convenes at least on a monthly basis.
Nicolaas L. Paardenkooper
Chief Executive Officer
Nicolaas L. Paardenkooper is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Paardenkooper joined the Group in May 2017. Mr. Paardenkooper has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas mid and downstream sector. Before Joining Brooge Energy Group he was Terminal Manager at Oil tanking Odfjell Terminal, Oman since October 2014. Prior to that, Mr. Paardenkooper worked in various positions at Emirates National Oil Company from 2010 to 2014 (including as Manager Terminal IJAF and Operations Manager) and worked for 21 years at Vopak in various roles. Mr. Paardenkooper started his career in various nautical positions on several types of vessels, mainly tankers and has a nautical and maritime educational background. complemented with dedicated oil and gas mid and downstream diplomas.
Syed Masood
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Syed Masood is the Chief Financial Officer and he brings to Brooge Energy banking, finance, marketing and management experience in multiple international markets. Mr. Syed has experience in leading and managing independent treasury and banking functions in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Former engagements of Mr. Syed include Executive Director of Family Offices at First Abu Dhabi Bank where he managed the designated Family Office portfolios and held positions at Emirates Islamic Bank, Dubai Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Askari Commercial Bank Limited. Mr. Syed has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Newport University, California.
Faisal Selim
Chief Marketing Officer
Faisal Selim is the Chief Marketing Officer of the Company. Mr. Selim joined BPGIC and the Company in December 2019. Mr. Selim holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Al Shams University and is a Certified Public Accountant. From 2011 to 2019 he served as a CFO Consultant for Mega Group LLC. Prior to this, he worked for Al Brooge Securities as a Finance Manager from 2006 to 2010 and as a Documentation Control Manager-Credit Administration for Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank from 2004 to 2006. Mr. Selim served as a Credit Policy Supervisor at First Gulf Bank from 2000 to 2004 and at Oriflame from 1999 to 2000.
Lina Saheb
Chief Strategy Officer
Lina Saheb is the Chief Strategy Officer for Brooge Energy Limited. Ms. Saheb has been with the group since its inception. Prior to joining the Group, Ms. Saheb worked with the Principal Shareholders on many different ventures including the establishment of BPGIC in Fujairah in 2013. Ms. Saheb has a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Mansour University, and completed a course in Banking and Finance from Emirates Collage of Technology. Ms. Saheb is also pursuing a Master’s degree in International Business Law at Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, in the UAE.
